A replacement arcade joystick needs to fit both the panel and the control system. For a claw machine, fighting cabinet or custom build, compare the mounting plate, shaft position and wiring before choosing by appearance. A similar ball top or body shape does not establish compatibility.
Record the panel dimensions before selecting a model
- Mounting holes: record the centre-to-centre spacing in both directions, hole diameter and fastening method. Include a photo of the underside or a panel drawing.
- Panel thickness: measure the material at the mounting point, including any overlay or spacer that affects the installed height.
- Shaft position: compare the height above the finished panel and the clearance around the handle through its movement.
- Space below the panel: check the body, connector and harness against nearby buttons, brackets and the cabinet opening.
Use the drawing for the exact model and revision. Do not infer mounting dimensions from a product photograph or treat a “mini”, “long shaft” or “American style” label as a dimensional standard.
Choose a starting point for a claw-machine replacement
The Baolian arcade and claw-machine joystick range includes the All-Aluminum Claw Machine Joystick and Export Claw Machine Joystick. Compare their listed configurations with your existing assembly, then ask for the mounting information needed to confirm fit. These are models to evaluate, not a promise of a direct replacement.
For a fighting cabinet, review the BL Quick Release Fighting Joystick (Long Shaft / Short Shaft) against the same panel measurements. Confirm the required shaft version when requesting a quote.
Check the electrical connection separately
Mechanical fit does not confirm electrical compatibility. Supply the machine or controller model, connector photos and any wiring diagram you have. Ask the supplier to confirm the required supply, output type, pin assignments and harness for the selected version before connecting it.
If you are considering a different sensing method, use the Hall-effect versus microswitch selection guide alongside these mounting checks.
Test the sample in the actual panel
- Check that the mounting points line up without forcing the assembly.
- Move the lever through every required direction and check clearance above and below the panel.
- Verify direction mapping and return to neutral with the intended controller.
- Check harness routing and access for removal or servicing.
- Record the accepted model, version and installation details for the production order.
Frequently asked questions
Will a joystick with the same-looking handle fit my machine?
Not necessarily. Compare the mounting pattern, panel thickness, shaft height and space below the panel. Check the electrical connection as a separate step.
Can I confirm fit without a datasheet?
Send the existing part number, photos and measured panel details. Ask Baolian to confirm the selected configuration before ordering; a photograph alone is not a fit check.
What should I send with a quote request?
Include the machine type, candidate model, panel drawing or measurements, controller and wiring details, quantity and delivery country. Contact Baolian to review a replacement or new build, or see the OEM / ODM page for custom requirements.
